The Magic of Bronze
The Magic of Bronze
Come and join the celebration! Magic of Bronze rings in their 30th anniversary with old favorites and new hits in this spectacular concert. Founded in 1996 with only 11 ringers, this Orlando-based community handbell ensemble came together with the idea go beyond the traditional hymn tunes of your average Sunday church handbell choir. They dreamed of playing advanced handbell music, creating unique handbell concerts, interacting with the community and having fun making music with the instruments they love. Thirty years later, that dream, those goals and that ideal are fully realized and continue to grow.
This season Magic of Bronze is pleased to present their own story in a lookback on 30 years of percussive excellence, a love letter to the present and glimpse into the future as they consider where the next 30 years might take them. Hear old favorites the group has loved playing over the years like “Rainbow Connection,” “Celebration” by Kool and the Gang, Wicked’s “For Good” and Disney’s “Go the Distance.” In addition to some new hits you’re sure to love, Magic of Bronze has the honor of premiering two new pieces, “Chronology” and “Threshold,” both written for and dedicated to Magic of Bronze and their 30 years of dedication and growth.
Come and join the celebration alongside this remarkable group as they mark 30 years of handbell excellence in their Orlando community!
