ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Mohini Dey is a renowned young bass guitarist from Mumbai known for revolutionizing the instrument with her technical prowess and a multicultural jazz fusion style. Her music thrums with the rhythms of South Indian vocal percussion, tight funk lines and gritty rock edges, always hitting her own groove.

Hailed by Forbes India as the “Most Successful Musician Under 30,” she is the only female bassist to rank within the 'Top 10 Bassists in the 21st century' on MusicRadar. Her debut album Mohini Dey was released in 2023 and was met with rave reviews from fans and critics worldwide.

Mohini has been featured on The Tonight Show and NPR’s Tiny Desk Series and she’s shared the stage with legends like Stanley Clarke and Quincy Jones.

Whether she’s laying down jaw-dropping solos or locking into powerful rhythmic pockets, her virtuosic performances flow like a living dialogue full of energy.
