Jonathan Scales Fourchestra

June 16, 2026 | Judson's Live | 7 p.m.

Trying to describe the Jonathan Scales Fourchestra is half the fun. This instrumental jazz fusion band centers on steel pans as the lead instrument backed by electric bass and drums. Their rhythmic mix combines jazz, classical and progressive rock with Latin rhythms and soulful funk into a signature sound you’ll want to experience live.

The Fourchestra’s global reach spans club stages across North America and Europe, to tours in Africa and Asia as Cultural Ambassadors for the U.S. Department of State. You may have heard them in their standout appearance on the NPR Tiny Desk Concert with Béla Fleck—now, this eclectic group makes their Judson’s Live debut as they prepare to release their eighth studio recording.
