ABOUT THE ARTISTS

Innovative guitarist Charlie Hunter is a singular force in modern jazz, known for his pioneering technique and masterful style. He currently uses a custom seven-string hybrid guitar he co-designed to play bass lines, chords and melodies simultaneously, creating a richly layered sound that feels like three musicians in one.

For over three decades, Charlie has built a genre-defying body of work, seamlessly blending jazz, funk and blues with groove-heavy improvisation. He’s performed with D'Angelo, Mos Def, Norah Jones and John Mayer. But no matter where he performs, from global stages to Tiny Desk Concerts, his shows are always fluid, fearless and electrifying.

This two-night residency marks Charlie’s Judson’s Live debut where he’ll be joined by talented saxophonist Nate Clark for a set of shows as deep in pocket as they are wide in imagination.
